ALONG CAME POLLY
Featuring: Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston
Brief Synopsis: Man gets married, wife has affair on honeymoon, man spends rest of the film trying to see if he fits better with polar extreme
Comments: I didn’t like this film. There was the odd funny moments: the French scuba diver is excellent, the sweaty basketball player is every athlete’s nightmare but otherwise just not funny. I know Jennifer is trying to play a different character from Rachel (Friends) and she does alright but nothing spectacular. It feels too forced. Ben Stiller is just acting the same as he normally does which isn’t a bad thing but then a lot depends on the cast around him. It tries but fails to score.
Thing to learn from this film: If your wife has an affair on your honeymoon, your marriage isn’t going to work out!
