CONSTANTINE
Featuring: Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz
Brief Synopsis: Supernatural man commits suicide and is sent back to earth where he tries to get to heaven by sending satan's minions back to hell.

Yin Ping's Comments Re-worked by Me: Disturbing. As a Christian I would seriously question where all the biblical stuff came from. For me, it was similar to the the Di Vinci Code where the author/screenwriter seemed to have to have been very elaborate in their text/script. But whichever way you look at it, it still sounds blashemous. For me, the film doesn't really take into account God at all - we just see Keanu conversing with satan (and yes, you don't picture satan all in white). I didn't like the fact that after watching the film, viewers may see Keanu as some sort of hero/idol in his role as a superpowered exorist.

The film is a thriller with jumpy moments, not brutel, but jumpy in an eriee sort of way. It reminds me of the The Omen on a lesser scale in the way you can feel the evil off the screen. The plot was intriguging and it was an interesting portrayal of what hell was like. But overall I didn't like it. For instance, I might watch Devils Advocate again but Constantine, no. It did have impressive special effects, and the plot does keep you on your toes but for me, it is too disturbing.
Thing to learn from this film: Don't take any biblical facts away from this film as the director has taken many of his own interpretations.
