RUNAWAY JURY
Featuring: John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman
Brief Synopsis: Guy gets on a jury of an important trial and offers his services to both parties to swing it there way – for a lot of money.

Comments: Another John Grisham film so I thought it might be a bit predictable especially having read many of his novels (although not this one). However it was actually a big roller coaster of a film with lots of frentic action carrying the thin plot all the way through. It’s helped with energetic performances by 3 big actors within the film. Cusack is thoroughly believable as a conspirator within the jury and Hoffman is easy enough as the good guy lawyer. Gene, as his polar opposite, is nice and vicious in his portrayal as a big money jury consulter. Don’t expect much in the way of deep arguments about the gun control and you will find your evening has passed by pleasantly enough. My only question is: how much of this stuff is true? Isn’t it lawyers who win or lose cases in trials?!
Thing to learn from this film: Things that you do in the past may come back to bite you later on in life.
